The Golf Course Superintendent has primary responsibility to ensure the overall quality and condition of the 36-hole Ohio State University Golf Club. It is to be maintained in a manner to provide the highest level of quality and enjoyment for student-athletes, club members and guests. This position is responsible for the management and coordination of all maintenance programs and construction projects for the golf course, golf course facilities and grounds; the selection, training and supervision of the golf course operation staff; maintaining golf courses within budgetary guidelines; work with golf club staff in the coordination of events; keep abreast of current innovations in turf management and establish record keeping systems for maintenance scheduling, man-hour accounting, preventive maintenance of equipment, inventory control, pesticide applications, fertilizations, etc. Min
