Golf Superintendent

Overview This position performs difficult technical work supervising the maintenance and development of our municipal golf course. The position is expected to ensure players experience a course and practice areas with excellent playing conditions and exceptional turf management. This position reports to the General Manager of Golf Operations. Experience Required • Bachelor's degree in golf course turf management, Horticulture or Agronomy with a Turf Grass Major or equivalent; and considerable experience in the maintenance of golf courses, with at least two (2) years supervisory experience in course maintenance • Certified pesticides licenses from the Department of Agriculture • Valid Driver License Essential Responsibilities • Plan, assign, schedule, and manage the municipal golf course maintenance and vehicle maintenance operations • Supervise and train staff on irrigation and drainage controls, watering and pond maintenance, wells, pumps, and automatic controls • Manage the applic
