Groundskeeper Group I

Groundskeeper Group I Primary Purpose: Responsible for physical appearance of University grounds by mowing, raking, planting, fertilizing, trimming or watering. Use mowers, rakes or other hand and power tools typically used in gardening. Essential Functions: • Mows, trims, edges and sweeps university lawns and grounds. • Waters fields and grounds as directed. • Performs tree and shrub maintenance to include planting, trimming and fertilizing. • Ensures proper care of equipment, tools and supplies. • Collects trash and removes in appropriate containers. • Performs minor repair of equipment. • Assists with set-up and tear-down of outdoor stages, tarps, tables and chairs. • Identifies maintenance or repair need and reports to appropriate personnel. • Assists in special construction projects as required. • Performs other duties as assigned.
